The Private Social Quarters of the Grass Valley Moose Lodge is operated in Full Compliance of the Rules and Regulations for Private Social Quarters Operations Published by the Supreme Lodge. The Following Local Rules and Regulations are an Addendum to the Rules and Regulations Published by the Supreme Lodge.


Social Quarters are defined as the Lounge and the Dining room when used for Moose Functions.  


The Social Quarters will be open on the days and during the hours posted by the House Committee.


Members are required to show their membership card upon request. 


All members of the Loyal Order of Moose in good standing will be admitted to this lodge, and a qualified guest may be admitted if they meet the General Law requirements.


All guests must sign in and cannot make purchases.  They must leave when the member leaves.  Members are responsible for their guests.


Members are responsible for the conduct of their children at all times utilizing the Lodge Facilities (NO RUNNING). Anyone under the age of 18 must leave the Social Quarters no later than 9:00 P.M. Sunday thru Thursday and 11:00 P.M. Friday and Saturday unless otherwise approved by the House Committee.


Any Member of the Order purchasing an alcoholic beverage for anyone under the age of 21, or knowingly allowing them to consume such will immediately be asked to leave the premises and be requested to appear before the House Committee for action.


No persons in the state of intoxication will be admitted. The bartender is authorized to refuse service to anyone at any time. 


Alcoholic beverages cannot be taken out of the building; however alcoholic beverages may be consumed in the social area in the rear of the premises.  Do no leave empty bottles or glasses on the lodge grounds return them to the bar.


No checks will be cashed for more than $50.00 and only one check during a 24-hour period.  Members will be charged a fee for all returned checks.


Only authorized persons will be allowed in the kitchen, behind the bar, and in all storage areas.


All members of this Lodge or Chapter must make their initial entrance through the Main Lobby Entrance. The front Dining Room door is for EXIT ONLY. No one is to enter through that door, except for DJs, band members moving equipment into the lodge, or for the delivery of kitchen supplies.  All lodge/chapter members and guests may exit through any door.


Gentlemanly and ladylike (orderly) conduct is required of all persons in the Lodge and Social Quarters at all times.  Loud, profane, or obscene language will not be tolerated at any time.


In consideration to all members and their families, members are expected to wear clean and presentable attire at all times.


NO short shorts will be allowed.  Tank tops, tops, T-shirts or other cutoff shirts that expose the underarms and/or midriff area will not be permitted.  No articles of clothing with obscene language or design will be permitted.


No person will be permitted to remain in the social quarters who is in violation of the dress code set forth by the House Committee


All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while on the Lodge facilities.  Children cannot sit at the bar at any time.  Children must not roam about the Social Quarters.


The Juke Box in the Lounge will be turned off anytime a band or DJ is scheduled in the Lodge except while the band is on break.


Lodge functions will take precedent over all other events within the Social Quarters or Lodge.


TVs in the Social Quarters have priority over the Juke Box during sporting events.  Selection of channel by a member is on first come first serve basis.


No smoking is permitted in the Social Quarters.  Smoking is permitted in the smoking room and all areas outside.  Smokers are responsible for placing their cigarette butts in ashtrays or placing them in containers.  Do not throw them on the lodge grounds.


Fighting, pushing, shoving or any physical confrontation will be grounds for immediate removal from the building and all social quarters privileges will be terminated until reinstated by the House Committee.


Dogs must NOT run loose on the lodge property.  All dogs must be either in the kennel or on a leash.  Dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dog.


Only Service Dogs are allowed within the Lodge buildings.


No motorized vehicles are allowed in the rear social area or in the playground area.


Any person violating these rules will be removed from the premises and will be denied the privilege of the Social Quarters until reinstated by the House Committee.


It shall be the duty of all of the members of the House Committee and its authorized employees to enforce these rules.
